About the book
<<Photocatalytic Processes in Water and Wastewater Treatment>>
As societies have become increasingly aware of the irreparable dangers of environmental pollution caused by discharging effluents and contaminants into nature, environmental protection laws have become far more serious and stringent over the past two decades. Strict compliance with environmental standards depends on controlling pollutants that are not removed by biological treatment processes, and for this reason other processes have been given attention in order to eliminate such toxic substances.
The removal of environmental pollutants, which have numerous harmful effects on the ecosystem, is among the research conducted in recent years. In this study, explanations are provided regarding the photocatalytic process and the various types of reactors used to remove organic pollutants from water and wastewater, where the photocatalytic processes used in water and wastewater treatment are considered novel systems.
