Introducing the Book "Principles and Skills of Firefighting"

  The dedication and self-sacrifice of firefighters in the accidents that have occurred over the past years in the urban and industrial spheres reflect the importance and lofty standing of this profession in society. Therefore, maintaining the physical fitness and operational capability of firefighters plays a significant role in reducing the scope of losses caused by accidents, especially fires and explosions and even leaks of dangerous chemicals. The Safety Affairs Department of the National Petrochemical Company, in order to raise the level of firefighters' preparedness to confront and respond effectively to any emergency conditions, and also to create a spirit of vitality and cohesion in teamwork among these individuals, has placed on its agenda the implementation of the biennial operational Olympiad of petrochemical industry firefighters since 2008 (1387); and the experience of holding three rounds of the said Olympiad makes it necessary to incorporate scientific topics and to enhance the technical knowledge of firefighters.
