Introducing the Package of Safety and Firefighting Requirements in the Petrochemical Industry

Achieving a safe work environment for personnel and facilities requires the compilation and implementation of uniform guides and instructions on the various topics of health, safety, and the environment. In this regard, following the approval and communication of the HSE structure in the subsidiary companies of the Ministry of Petroleum, the HSE management of the National Petrochemical Company undertook to revise, complete, prepare, and compile safety instructions and guides by applying the comments and recommendations of the safety experts of the subsidiary companies, and this collection was published under the title "Collection of HSE Management Safety Requirements in the Petrochemical Industry." The collection of requirements comprises two parts: safety instructions and safety guides. The safety instructions have the force of legal requirements for petrochemical companies, and observing all the provisions contained in them is necessary for the subsidiary companies of the National Petrochemical Company. Regarding the safety guides, the subsidiary companies must prepare and compile the relevant operating procedures to fulfill the provisions contained in this guide (as minimum requirements). The safety guides section has been used by the members of the specialized safety committee of the HSE management of the National Petrochemical Company.
