The Importance of HSE in Schools

Among the social institutions of our country, the school is one of the most important formally organized institutions, which—by providing a healthy and hygienic environment—must give the body and mind of the society's children and adolescents the opportunity to grow and flourish and must raise them into responsible and successful individuals.
Obviously, from an economic standpoint as well, optimal returns and investment in this matter, both materially and in terms of human resources, are achievable only by safeguarding students. Realizing these goals requires a correct and continuous program that, through the passage of different educational stages, gives students the opportunity to correct their states, behavior, and approach to matters related to health and hygiene, and gradually substitutes correct health and hygiene habits.
Education, in today's societies, is regarded as the most pivotal educational institution for caring for and teaching students about health matters and the complications arising from failing to observe them, because it is in the light of education that human beings are transformed.
Increasing quality, satisfaction, and a sense of worth in life are among the very important matters in maintaining the health of the members of society; without doubt, after the family, the school is one of the most important and influential environments for providing health for the age group of children, adolescents, and young people.
The safety and environment of this age group are of very great importance, because, as numerous studies show, the health of students is connected with their academic progress, and students who in some way suffer from psychological problems or a lack of adequate hygiene often face academic decline. Therefore, it is essential that, in order to achieve educational and developmental goals, the health and hygiene of students be ensured, and this necessitates applying appropriate methods to provide health, safety, and a healthy environment for students, because the school is not an environment that merely instills matters and content in children and adolescents; rather, in this environment, morals and behavior also take shape, which includes education about health, safety, and the environment.
It is hoped that, with the necessary investment, the groundwork needed to improve health care, in order to create a healthy and safe environment for students, will be provided.
